![]() ![]() This is causing all kinds of problems with reversed fields. ![]() Matrox followed the bible but everyone else decided not to. DV by the blue book is Lower Field First for NTSC and Upper Field First for PAL. Other people can be more technical but the basic is this. When does the Matrox codec then get applied? Is it possible to render progressive with a DV codec?īrand= CUSTOMModel= MATROX G550Motherboard= S2668ANR TYAN RTProcessor= DUAL XEON 2.8 GHZRam= 2 GBOS Type= WINDOWS XP Is this codec just a DV codec with some proprietary Matrox stuff to make it real time? When I record to my tape the information is not being put down with a Matrox codec and when I copy via firewire I thought is was a straight copy of 1 and 0's. I use a Matrox machine that gives my material a specific Matrox codec. When I shoot on my interlaced 3 CCD camera it is then tranferred lower field dominant on my DV tape. I believe the spec for DV calls for it to be interlaced either lower or upper (lower for me). ![]() Posted: Wed 12:54 pm Post subject: Wondering about DV.
